On Friday 27 June, we launched the Short-term Phase of the Pevensey Bay to Eastbourne Coastal Management Scheme with a beachside event in Pevensey Bay
Thank you to everyone who joined our community drop-in session. It was a pleasure to introduce our new Beach Managers, Paul Levitt and Amber Carr, who will be overseeing the 8.5km stretch of coastline. Their work will help protect over 3,000 homes and businesses from the risk of coastal flooding.
We enjoyed sharing information about the scheme and answering your questions. Thankyou to Dr Kieran Mullan MP, Chair of the Pevensey Bay Coastal Community Group, and our contractor VolkerStevin for attending the launch.
The event was also featured on ITV Meridian News – you can watch the coverage here (starting at 4:50): https://youtu.be/VwrMNtXgwBA
Thank you for your contribution!
