A collaboration between the project team and the Coastal Schools Partnership
To coincide with World Ocean Day on 8 June, we invited local students to investigate this theme and help tell a story to the wider community about how the area has changed, and how it may change in the future.
The students could choose to express their ideas though a poster or illustration, digital art, textiles, poetry or a short story.
We received artwork from 4 local schools: Cavendish School, Eastbourne College, St. Andrew's Prep and Willingdon Community School. The students' artwork is now on public display along the seafront in Eastbourne. The artwork will be available to view until September 2024.
This art project has been a fantastic way for local students to investigate coastal change and produce some amazing artwork. As with all the work we do with Coastal School Partnership, this project has provided a wonderful opportunity for the project team to get an insight as to what students think so we can shape the future of this coastline together.
